i'll also add vapona strips also work fairly well , to a point , i know of one guy who had used they for close to a decade , and now the mites have adapted to the strips , and he now has " super spider mites " that even avid has a hard time killing .

btw do your research on pythium's , you will find it not only doesn't work well on mites , it actually causes them to breed faster .
it also kills anything that would keep the mites in check , also causing them to run wild .

You got it Redeyed!

I read so much on spider mites I almost turned into one :-)

DDT really fucked things up. We abused it.

After a few decades of virtually no predators due to the use of DDT, spider mites have come to plague many an industry in this country and others.

Pyrethrins . . .. . .etc. . . they.. DO in fact increase the numbers of offspring mature spider mites produce.

Yup floramite and avid worked for me. Followed up with a complete room equipment cleaning and no mites ever again.

Resistant to Azamax? That's crazy!!!

I've always had good luck with spraying leaves til runoff and hitting them at the same time with a systemic application.

Anyhow, rubbing alcohol works very well and will not burn your plants unless you use too much. If you google "spider mites rubbing alcohol" you will find plenty of info.

I've also had luck with jrosek's no fan sealed room no pest strip method as well.

Start hitting them with neem or something while in veg and then again on first day of flower just for fun and you may never see another insect prob.

i forgot to add ,

neem oil woks well , but too much and your plants won't like it , so i mainly use it on the whole room after it has been cleaned just before i put the plants in .

sm90 works but you need to watch your not spraying shit on your plants too late into flower .

and hydrogen peroxide in the 3 to 10 % range will kill mites as a foliar . start low , lets say 2% and work your way up till your plants complain . some strains don't mind 10% h2o2 , other can easily have their leaves burnt at 5% .

this is something that works great if you have a might problem late in flower .

also running co2 up to 10,000 ppm for several hours / a day ( if possible ) can suffocate almost all the bugs in your room ( humans too so be careful ) . again this works great for a mite problem late into flower .

and i should mention that some strains are more prone to a mite attack than others . i found that shiskaberry got eaten first by mites .

so for the longest time with each crop i had one shiskaberry plant that got sacraficed to the mites . you can also spray the nastiest stuff you have on this plant to kill off the mites ( just don't consume the plant later )

End-ALL concentrate (NOT version II).. (following instructions on the bottle when and how often to spray)..
http://www.progressive-growth.com/pr...php?prod=31043
switchin it up with some SM-90 sprays..
http://www.jasons-indoor-guide-to-or...trol.html#sm90
and some sprays of worm casting/Kelp/Molasses tea brews..

and intermittently, squishing by hand top and bottom of leaves killing all the beasts between your fingers... going through the plant/s like crazy at first by hand, then after few days checkin em again going on a squish mission.. that is if the plant isn't in the back of a bed and can't get to her or spin her around..

Just my method of attack...

If in manageable sized pots, Imortal's upside down dunk method is great! covering the top of pots with a cardboard cut out and dunk the fuckers in mite death juice..

I checked this shit out and it says its "HIGHLY TOXIC TO HONEY BEES" I think for this reason alone we should boycott that shit. There are plenty of honey bees dying out without us growers spraying shit that will encourage that. 1 out of 3 bites of food you eat was probably thanks to bees.

That being said, the spider mites are eating your plants. Give them a taste of their own medicine and get some beneficial insects.
Phytoseiulus persimilis, Neoseiulus californicus, Mesoseiulus longipes, and Stethorus punctipes, just to name a few. Ladybugs have also been known to eat spidermites, but I know they prefer aphids.
