i found running cheap fans like semi auto told me a while back it will make a wierd noise and loud,,,,,,Vortex is unaffected by speed controllers, i just bought my speed controllers from my hydro store, gave a way all my cheap fans to friends~ Vortex all the way.......cheap fans sound like there being held back and struggling
