I like the diy filter idea. I have some pvc around, just gotta get some carbon, and probably some cheesecloth to strain the carbon out....just thinking out loud here.
I ended up staying organic. I had every intention of switching to synthetics when I walked in the store, but I just couldn't do it. Ended up with age old organics grow and bloom and some gh coco. I'll most likely need to supplement with some magnesium. Probably epsom salt, but maybe I'll just break down and buy a bottle of calmag.
I don't really have room in my cabinet for more than 1 gallon of water at a time, that's how I warm some of my water now. But 1 gallon at a time just isn't enough for multiple 10" pots.
Thanks for all the help.
